DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS SYSTEMS – MRS OLURINU JOSE
Olurinu Jose is the Director of Business systems at the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA). She is responsible for Information System Management, Human Capital Management and Administration & General Services.
Prior to being appointed Director of Business systems, Rinu a chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Charted Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) was a senior financial analyst at LAMATA. As a senior financial analyst, she was responsible for both the preparation of all reports to the World Bank on a monthly and quarterly basis and the preparation and presentation of the Project financial monitoring reports (PFMR) to the project team task leader from the World Bank on a quarterly basis.
Before then, she worked briefly with the Lagos State Government as a senior accountant where she led the team responsible for the implementation of oracle database system and the migration of data from the legacy system to oracle Public sector budgeting and general ledger. Her team was also responsible for the preparation of the consolidated financial accounts for presentation to the Accountant General and Commissioner of Finance.
She has attended various academic and professional programs. Rinu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly University of Ife), Ile – Ife, Nigeria, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Lagos Business School (LBS), Lagos and a Chief Information Security Officer (CIO) Executive certification from the Carnegie Mellon University, USA. Rinu is currently a student of the University of Liverpool’s Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program.
Her over 24 years work experience traverses both the public and the private sectors of the Nigerian economy. During this period, she has gained vast and vital experience in accounting and finance, strategy human resources management and the management of information technology & systems as well as strategy policy formulation and analysis and execution.
